Relics and Artifacts and Steampunk 3-D Articulated Santos Cage Doll Shrine come together like magic.

This is one of my favorite labors of love.

Behind the scenes:

And then I used transparent crackle medium.


Adding decoupage and cut out details.

 Articulated arms distressed with Verday paint, decorated with lace and star brads on the joints.


Putting her together.


Her crown and face have touches of watch findings.

Now lets color this little guy in copper and silver acrylic paint.


And add watch parts so his steampunkness comes to fruition.


Yes, steampunkness is a word in my dictionary.

I was given this small piece of metal and now I finally found it's purpose! Turbo engine on the finches  tail.

My favorite time of the year: HALLOWEEN! Fright Night! Repurposed shadowbox antiqued with Verday paint. Relics and Artifacts face from the Visage collection and the wing(top right) from Rising Spirit II. Coffin, ATC tombstones, bats, web and spiders from Retro Cafe Art. Retro Cafe Art ATC tombstone, black gesso and a stencil. The bright yellow under the bat wings is gel medium mixed with glow in the dark powder. This back was done with a Halloween themed napkin and Mod Podge. This hand was hiding in the bottom of a bin at Michaels. It was white resin. Ahh the magic of alcohol inks made it come to life! BUAHAHAHAHA! The glow in the dark doing its magic. Behind the scenes: White gesso on the hand, for a better grip! Prima Artisan Powder Tim Holtz Adirondack alcohol inks in shades of browns then covered with Crackle Accents. Glaze to seal all the beauty forever! A little fuzzy here. LOL! Sorry guys. Metal

Hearts and Hearts   Flaming heart from Spirit Treasures colored with Pebeo Fantasy paints.  Spirit Treasures flaming heart with holographic glitter, glass glitter and Saint finding.  Love in flight! Rising Spirit IV with the heart from Rising Spirit V and wood support done with alcohol inks, micro beads, ice resin, paper flowers and glass vile. Ancient Soul II skull and wings colored with liquid pearls, face has holographic glitter and Tim Holtz resin roses. Rising Spirit III heart on wood board board, acrylic paint, polymer clay, watch findings,feathers,other findings, iron on wings covered in ice Resin and lace rosettes(WIP). Upcycled picture frame, Verday pants, Rising Spirit III heart and wings, paper bird, moss, frame wood chipboard, textured gel and nature finds.
